Lets say you had a complete 5.8L supercharged V8 from the 2013 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. It has over 660 hp, and it's fit for a supercar. Unfortunately, Ford put it in a Mustang. What do you think it should go in?
If you say Ford GT, punch yourself in the face right now.

well since it won't fit in my marauder, it'd sure work out in my 96 bronco

I would love to put this in my Aveo. Laugh at people as I rev the engine at a red light. And then they laugh at me when I destroy the frame of the car when I launch!

A Mustang? Ok, a 1969 Mach I Mustang.

Get a hammer, because the 5.4 DOHC won't fit in a panther engine bay. a 5.4 SOHC is a tight fit as it is.

I'm thinking something small & British, like an AC Cobra but not because they're done to death.
Maybe this?
Or this?

Eh? But actually I've always dreamed of swapping something absurdly large and powerful into a 50's F-100.

I'd probably go for something like a Galaxy 500. Or, you know, just a regular Galaxy.

I foresee a large fire in your future, and a completely twisted chassis, but what a way to go......
![]() 10/16/2013 at 01:37 |

Um... Isn't that engine bigger than your Aveo? Lolz, I'm just busting your balls... But there is no way you could ever squeeze that into your Aveo, unless you have some timelord technology...

All kidding aside, I did once look into engines could that could actually fit into my engine bay. I don't remember them off hand but there was a diesel V8 that would fit. But that probably would actually turn my car into a twisted heap of metal.

Quite possibly... It's too bad Hartley doesn't make their sweet ass Hayabusa based H1V8 anymore... I'm sure that'd fit.
![]() 10/16/2013 at 02:01 |
|
Now that could be fun!
![]() 10/16/2013 at 02:06 |
|
Indeed it could be... If you can manage to get your hands on one... According to their website:
As of March 2012, the H1 and H2 engine technology has been sold. The new owner will further develop the technology for race applications.
Hartley Enterprises retains the rights to build these engines in limited numbers for select existing customers and special projects in the US. All projects are taken for 2013 and no new H1 or H2 projects can be accepted at this time.
Sucks... Hopefully the new company that owns the engine design will have it back on the market at some point... I've yet to hear that they have.

One of these
I think it might have been called a ford gt not entirely sure though. All joking aside it would be a good improvement on the 5.4 supercharged block that it came with.

Maybe this!! My Dad's 1970 F100.
It's got a 390 big block in it right now, but what the heck! Everyone needs a 5.8l Supercharged Modular v8.
